5 Steps Towards Increasing Your Self Confidence





Many people say they don’t feel confident in themselves and wish they were braver and stronger. But there are many steps you can take towards a more positive and assertive you! Have a read through these tips, and try them out in your life.


Look At Your Strengths
Think about your life so far and what you have achieved. Are there moments or achievements that you are particularly proud of? Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, so take the time to focus on your strengths and all the good things about you.


What’s Bothering You?
If there is a certain part of your life that is bothering you and affecting your confidence, look at ways to make it better. Whether you struggle to swim, or can’t understand a certain logic, there are always ways you can improve them. Some people are conscious of an aspect of the way we look. While no one is perfect, there are some things you can do to fix bigger problems. Fake Confidence

As one of the best ways to release endorphins, exercise can make you feel happier and more positive, making it a great way to start your day. Look for exercises that you enjoy, either walking the dog or joining a gym class. If you don’t like it, try something else. Following a fun regime is much easier to stick to, rather than forcing yourself through something you don’t like


Volunteer
Helping others is a great way of making yourself feel better and boosting confidence. There are lots of charities and trusts than need more help, so have a look around at what would interest you the most. Helping at a soup kitchen, or caring for neglected animals, can help to put your life into perspective. Even if you can only help out occasionally, you will be making a difference to other people’s lives. You may also meet new friends and gain skills and experiences.


Try New Things
If you only stick to doing the things you know, you will never progress in life. Start saying yes to things, rather than turning them down for fear of the unknown. If there is a new activity you’ve always wanted to try, then go for it. It will only be scary to start off with, and before you know it you will be feeling confident in more and more aspects of your life.
