Be The Best Version of You in 2017

As another year draws to a close, it’s a good time to start reflecting on your resolutions. How well did you do? If you didn’t quite achieve what you wanted, and still have things to tick off your bucket list, the great thing is that when 2017 rolls around we get a blank new slate and an opportunity to give it a go all over again. The best resolutions you can make are those where you invest in yourself, and take steps to live a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life. Here are some of the resolutions you can think about setting when the time comes, in order to be the best version of you in 2017.

Read More Books
There are so many benefits to picking up a book, and getting lost in a story. Not only is it enjoyable, and kills boredom in a way that stimulates your mind and creativity but there is a whole host of other great reasons too. Reading can reduce stress, broaden your knowledge, improve your memory and vocabulary and boost your ability to focus. And plus it costs next to nothing too. You can find incredible books for next to nothing at second-hand bookshops, or download an e-book to your Kindle or tablet for just a few pounds. Perfect in the new year when everyone is all spent out after the festive season! You could aim to read certain books a month or a year, but either way picking one up more often is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Quit Your Bad Habits
If you have any bad habits that are dangerous to your health, you won’t be able to get away with them forever. You might feel like you’re indestructible when you’re young, but these things will take a toll on your body in time. Smoking, binge drinking, recreational drugs are all things to work on giving up for good.

Work on Your Insecurities
Insecurities rob us of joy. They steal our confidence, make us shy and withdrawn and worrying about them is an unproductive use of our time. We should always do our best to love ourselves regardless of our looks, but if some things are such an issue that they affect your daily life then why not consider changing them? For example, if you’ve always been conscious of your teeth, you could book in to see and dentist and ask what can be done. At least then you have the information available to you, and you can decide how to proceed. The same applies if you hate your nose, or a certain part of your body. If it’s not something that can be fixed with a healthy lifestyle, then there’s no shame in having a procedure done if it gives you back your confidence. Always do your research, and use a trusted surgeon such as Dr. Ramiro Morales.

Get Out of Debt
If you’re guilty of overspending, living above your means and running up debt, then you could land yourself in serious trouble. Make 2017 the year of sensible spending. Work out a budget and stick to it, and decide how to best go about tackling any debts you do have. If you’re in a lot of bother financially, speaking to a debt charity or phoning a helpline for advice could be a good place to start.
