Get the Glow: How To Get The Elusive Dewy Makeup Look

Dewy skin is that elusive glowing look that all of our favorites like Cara and Gigi always seem to sport. I’m sure a lot of us in the past have tried to get that J-Lo glow but ended up looking a bit more like a glitter ball! It is such a feminine and natural look, so it is no surprise that many of us love this look. Have clear, fresh and plumped skin help your skin to look fresh and younger too. But you don’t need to have a Victoria's Secret stylist’s number on speed dial to get the look. Here are some ways that you can improve the look of your skin to get a dewy and youthful look.

Coconut Oil
The benefits of coconut oil know no bounds. One other use for it is that you can use it as part of your beauty regime. Not only does it work as a moisturizer, but it can be used as a highlighter too. When it is at room temperature, it will be in a solid form. So you can dab a little on your cheekbones, across your nose, and on your brow bones. It gives a fresh and dewy look to your skin that is, of course, all natural. It also doesn’t give off a super oily, shiny or runny look either. So stock up on the good stuff!

Choose a Good Foundation
One of the best ways to get a dewy look is to apply it. There are many foundations that help you get a glowing look. You could think about getting a BB cream, as it is quite light and hydrating. You could use a CC cream if you feel like you need to get a more even skin tone. There are plenty of other options out there too. So maybe looking somewhere like Thank Your Beauty would help you choose as they have plenty of reviews on there.

Vaseline
Using a product like good old vaseline is a dewy beauty must have. You can use it with or without makeup, and it helps you to create a natural and fresh look. You could apply it on your eyelids, as well as use a small amount to smooth your brows. It also works on your cheeks and lips, giving you a really natural glow. You don’t need a lot of it, though, or you could end up looking quite greasy.

Brush the Blush
Blusher is a must have for glowy skin. You need to add a hint of color if you want a dewy and youthful look. Choose a color that suits you and that isn’t too red. Coral and pink shades are the best options for dewy looking skin. If you choose a cream blush, then you could add a few drops of avocado oil to it (make sure that you look for cold-pressed avocado oil). Then you can create an extra glow when you apply your blusher. It is thick, though, so won’t make the color run.
